Framerate drops despite good specs - is motherboard the issue?
Am attempting to play at 120FPS 1440p on low settings. Specs are:
- CPU - i7 12700K
- GPU - RTX 3070
- RAM - 32GB
- Game is installed on SSD
Getting frame drops of 5-15FPS multiple times per minute. Other players report being able to reach higher framerates with equivalent or I'm now wondering if my motherboard (MSI PRO B660-A DDR4) is the bottleneck?
Can any support staff verify for me whether having a DDR4 motherboard would be causing these kinds of issues or whether it is indeed one of my PC's main components?
