i'm launching apex in steam and i get this message that the game is attempting to launch with optional parameters (-steam -eac_executablename "R5Apex.exe") should i be worried? this is the first time i get this. I dont know if i should allow it or not.attached is a screenshot

Hey @ChickingYT, If you haven't already can you try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that makes any difference at all? I'm curious if there might be something else running that's related to this issue, and a Clean Boot may help get around it if that's the case. I don't think I've seen this message myself. EAC refers to Easy Anti-Cheat, so I'm guessing it means that it's trying to launch EAC alongside Apex Legends. You've been playing Apex Legends before now without any issues?

I'm having the exact same problem, I have not experienced any issues launching from steam before today, and I cant figure out how to get around the problem.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of the game files for Apex Legends in Steam to see if that makes any difference at all? For more info on how to verify the files check out the Steam Support website.

@EA_Kent I've always been able to launch Apex Legends normally and it would launch the EAC along with it.

After my initial post I tried launching the game a few more times and the message didn't appear anymore

I am having this issue as well.
I have tried restarting and the issue still persist. I have also tried verifying the files and it didnt work.
Noted if we tried to launch with the parameters then it just gets replicated and doubled..

The easy anti-cheat reinstall didnt work..
But upon several reboots and a graphics driver reinstall, it suddenly worked.. not sure if graphics update/reinstall was related.. but i needed to update and reboot for it anyways.
