Game freezing after a few seconds into the main menu

So I had been playing apex with friends quite smoothly over the past 2 weeks or less, no problems at all, but when we came online to check out the new winter events my game suddenly likes to freeze and unresponding after a few seconds of getting into the lobby menu. No system settings has changed since I've played normally with my friends, I've tried reinstalling the game, running it as an administrator, compatibility modes, launch commands, degrading/updating video drivers or changing my directx versions with no luck so far. Has anyone experienced this lately and can you tell me a fix for this, I'm on PC running from a steam client.
