Your game looks perfectly fine to me. Apex has 20-tick servers while also trying to compensate for higher latency (ping) players to make it fair for them; meaning, if you are on their screen (even while you hide behind cover on your screen) and they hit you, their shots will land on you regardless. It tries to merge both player's perspectives so when one person sees and shoots the other their shots instantly count regardless of ping. E.g. You just peaked to shoot and quickly go back behind cover. You're off the enemy's line of sight on your screen, but on theirs you're still in it and they manage to hit you. It looks you got hit behind cover while on theirs you barley peaked and started going back behind cover. Normally, even with lag compensation, the lower ping player would have the advantage and the higher ping player's shots would simply just not count. This coupled with the 20-stick servers is probably why you got hit behind cover there. Read this for a slightly better, but not full on in depth explanation: https://www.dexerto.com/apex-legends/respawn-lag-compensation-apex-legends-1563048/ I wish I remembered the title for this video that explained this perfectly with an example of both player's povs, but I forgot it. :/
I think the rapid clips are fine. The only instances when I lag are shown in those clips. The game runs fine, until I get shot at by someone. Also, I don't just get it occasionally. It happens in every single game that I play (multiple times). You don't seem to have my issue, but rather just experienced an encounter with a high latency player -- that, or you just got 20-ticked. You can try playing the most recent clip that I posted at 0.25 speed if you want a longer, clearer example. I no reg'd the pathfinder multiple times, I don't think he missed a bullet (even tho it looks like he should have on my screen), and I was barley able to control the insane amount of flinch (due to controller) that makes it seem like they headshot me but on steroids (even when they only hit my body). I included the 2nd clip in my original post to show just how much my aim kicks because of that flinch (while on mnk). It's really just abnormal. I also exploded (instantly died) which I normally do if two people shoot me at once. I imagine that it looks like I just stand still on their screens when I am moving on mine. I tried to explain that in my original post, but I can see how it was unclear since I tried to keep it as concise as I could since it was a rather long post.
Lol My Game is not fine. It's wild that you think me being shot behind that closed door is okay because they have high ping. Watch the other clips again. The damage doesn't register as the bullets connect. The damage drops significantly and doesn't align with when they actually hit.
- 3 years ago@Itz_Nectar1 I'm not saying it was ok for you to be shot behind a door. I simply explained why that happens because of how the game devs made it to be. It's the same for everyone else. People have been getting shot through doors since the beginning of this game.
