Always has been like that and probably always will remain so because PROS requested easier Pred lobbies to make that sweet streamers money without much effort aka 10-30 KP and ultimate goal of 200000 RP or more for #1 Pred while legit peasants can't reach even D4 not to mention praised 16k Masters. Pfff #getgood
Indeed back in the days of season 9-12 people complained that hardstuck (couldn't demote after reaching d4) D4s were matched vs Masters and Preds while having on their team D4s who just threw games for fun because that's Apex competitive community. But you rarely had like Plat and never Gold (because 1.5 tier difference rule was in place = couldn't match people with more than 1.5 tier difference).
Now it is this and has been like that since your CEO of Apex and other hackbabies cried that they don't want to fight other hackers, rather farm Golds.
I just can't bare ranked anymore for 2 full and a half seasons. Add hackers to the mix and Apex really makes me wanna throw up. Idk how this can be good for business but for the game as legit sweaty player...this is total disaster = you come to play team game yet you get hackers, people who are afraid to talk, people who can't talk normally to other humans, people who think team is "I farm all RP, you serve me peasants as human shield", plus system is against you = matchmaking and hacker Preds that get banned only when they admit to hacking in live stream.
Uninstall or just keep it and see how it becomes worse - I honestly am wondering because I have no idea...hackers in Silver? Servers crashing every 2nd game giving you 2x RP penalty and 10 min ban? You get temp banned if not hacking / when killing hacker? I honestly can't wait for the next seasonal update to see what they will f up even more...
The saddest thing is that Respawn doesn't make updates looking at everyone, but only the most important ones (i.e. streamers, pro players). They wanted the game to be faster, which is why controllers are slowly becoming useless again. A few reasons why:
- the amount of free movement for more and more characters is already so large that the controller is unable to control a given area well because it is simply pushed out of it very quickly.
- new maps and those that have been edited (current Olympus) have too many hills where a character without movement skills can move there for a much longer time (i.e. mainly controllers and giants).
- low TTK also makes it easier to knock someone down and then quickly push with the whole team to kill the rest of the team.
- there are plans to add destructible windows, so there will be so many ways to enter one room or building that the controller will not be able to properly control the place.
Unfortunately, Respawn doesn't play its own game, and updates are primarily targeted at a single group of players. This group of players wants to kill someone as quickly as possible, get the most kills, damage, etc., so now nothing matters except a movement that isn't skill-based (like Faide has), but is in a character's kit and easy to use, giving them a huge advantage over characters without such a movement.
Now we have confirmed information that Octane will be getting a buff. Another legend of the movement. What's more, there are rumors that Respawn is considering another nerf to Caustic (which is very funny), but there's no word on nerfs to Valkyrie, Sparrow, Horizon, or Bangalore (this is just an example, but more characters should get nerfed).
Pro players are crying foul again about Caustic's gas, and Respawn wants to do what they want again, because everything is geared towards the ALGS, not the 99.9% of the player base. Of course, there were comments that Caustic is fine and shouldn't be nerfed, but it's Respawn – they'll do what they want anyway.
Today, we've reached a point where we have no anti-cheat (lots of cheaters), no weapon balance, and no balance between characters.
Instead of focusing on balancing everything, Respawn is once again buffing another character.
How long will this take? How many times will we buff another Legend because in six months we'll find out he's already lagging behind?
These buffs will be endless, and the game is already so chaotic and unfriendly to new or weaker players that it's no wonder we have the lowest player base in a long time.
I rarely write such long messages because there's no point in it anyway. Respawn will continue to kill Apex like they've been doing since s21 (the entry of Alter). From that moment on, the game began to fall apart until the end.

To be fair the push for faster phase game, more kills etc. is a trend I have seen forever basically from majority of the community. Famously known to drop with 10 more squads into fragment or any other popular location for this type of drop.
Idk people I guess have some sort of addiction, Tiktok has made their brains melt and they need a new game to start every other second vs actually enjoying the current game?
You loot for 30 seconds => already hearing about being loot goblin and rat.
And it has been like that forever.
At the same time if you play Loba and open market -> those people run like crazy as it would be black Friday sale. I used to main Loba to trick randoms into teamworking as I realized this trend :)Breaking Windows... yeah that would be an overkill. You already have Alter for "surprise entry"...that would render her irrelevant as I can see.
As for controller = sorry, but as MNK purist I still stand by the idea that FPS games are not meant to be played on controller. The fact that industry has pushed PC prices sky high so that people can't afford them (yet somehow can afford to buy skins in game for hundreds of dollars) does not mean that games should be played on consoles / controllers.
I got myself controller, it took me like few hours to leave it be and potentially sell it because I just could not make myself play on in:
- input is weird (linear)
- need loads of adjustments instead of just sensitivity to actually be good
- grip is super awkward (aka your claw grip) and 100% not ergonomic considering possibility of 10k hours on it (in comparison I have like 50k hours of gaming on Mnk probably by now, never had any issues with fingers, wrists, arms etc.)
- limited number of binds / multiple keys having dual function
The only benefit from controller in Apex: cheap and easy way into the game for lazy people who don't want to master mnk, aimtrain, get good at trackingp.s. TTK in Apex is not low, it is actually high = takes a lot of time to kill someone. You should experience say Valorant and see how annoying hackers are there - you just peak 1 pixel and millisecond later you dead because of a headshot from miles away. In Apex at least you have time to make a call "they are hacking" before you knocked :D
I've played Valorant, but it's a different type of game. Something completely different. Just like CS. In Apex, we had a different TTK for 20 seasons, and now it's terrible. Anyway, I explained everything in my previous message. Anyone who wants to understand will understand. And I wrote about the controller as a legend class.
I don't know about TTK...I still remember first few seasons when I got 3 shot by wingman gods all the time :)
