Graphics card crashing

Hello, I've been having constant crashes since the past couple months and have finally decided to post about it. The crashes started appearing a couple months ago and I have tried everything available online to fix them to no avail.

I'm trying to play on a Acer predator helios 16 (PH16-71) with a i9 13900hx and a rtx 4070.

The error message I get most frequently is 0x887A0006 - DXGI_DEVICE_ERROR_HUNG. However after updating my Nvidia drivers to the latest Nvidia driver, I get other error messages as well such as

Engine Error

CreateTexture2D failed for GRT_Task_DoCreate on '(no debug name)
with HRESULT 0x887a0005 width: 256 height: 256 mips: 9 imgFormat:
0x00000047

and

Engine Error
CreateShaderResourceView failed in GRT_Task_DoCreate on '(no debug
name)' with HRESULT 0x887a0005

The only thing that works a little for me is reverting to older Nvidia drivers from around october 2023. This however, does not let me play other games well such as ghost of tsushima.

Things I have already tried that did not work: (All of these changes have been reverted back to default now as they did not work)

Changing registry values (most recommended 'fix' I've seen around)

Reinstalling the game with all default settings

Changing visual settings from high to low and vice versa

Changing spot shadows settings

Undervolting my GPU through MSI Afterburner

I'm very confused as to how to proceed with this issue now. I've seen other people report the same issues all over reddit and Nvidia forums although nothing recommended seems to work for me.
