High ping only in Apex

Hi,

I'm having an issue regarding the highest ping when the server ping it's fine.

I'm playing on Steam, the closest server to me it's in Singapore, already tried everything to make things work, from flushing the DNS, resetting my network, and changing my DNS several times (from Google DNS, Open DNS, and also Cloudfare DNS) but the problem still occurs.

My internet speed it's not having any problem, I can browse, streaming even download normally, but when comes to playing Apex, using the nearest server and the lowest ping possible, which is singapore, the ping it reaches 200ms regularly.

This problem occurs out of nowhere and already going for like 2 weeks.

Did anyone get a solution for this? I attached my in-game ping and the data center ping and also my internet speed on Speedtest.

Please help me, this is so annoying and I can't properly enjoying my Apex lately

  • I have the exact same issue. Every other match that I play my ping is at 200+.

I'm from Europe, so I'm either playing Frankfurt or Amsterdam. 20-30 server ping normally.

It started happening like 2 weeks ago as you said.

My internet connection is cabled and stable.

Internet speed tests are good - around 8 ping + fast download + upload (not that it matters too much)

    I'm 95% sure its on EA's part.

  • @Adem9x Sad to hear that also happen in Europe, because as far as I know, European internet is so much better than in my country, that's for sure.

Now I got an additional issue, where the ping it's low and the packet loss it's 90%, that's making the game really unplayable.

It's really frustrating and annoying at the same time.
  • @Adem9x I have 100% the same problem. im from europe. i play 2-3 games on amstadam server with normal 20-30 ping. after that i get 200-220 ping. if change server "data center" to frankfurt 1. play 2 games with normal ping, then 3rd game i get 200-220. untill i change server again etc etc.

    Yep, that's exactly what happens.

I feel like Apex is automatically switching datacenters for us, without actually putting us on a different region.

  • @Aizrh Did you try Cloudflare DNS for both IPv4 and IPv6? Someone here mentioned today that IPv6 might've helped a bit.

@Godisbullen already try that, change it like the on the other thread as you said, but no result, the high ping still happen to me.

Already change the IPv4 to Cloudflare and google, release and renew the using ipconfig on CMD, but the problem is still there.

Already change from my ISP at home to the one in my office, but the problem is also still there.
