How to fix freezing ( dropship ) or countdown Easy Anti-Cheat is the issue !!

Dear all,  After 6 days of researching and trying too many ways to fix the freezing, I found out that EasyAnti-Cheat is reason for freezing the game, I did delete easy-anticheat from the game folder...

@Scarrletsix I guess so, try to install http://ds4windows.com/ ,,, download the driver and after that play the game, but leave ur controller away don't touch it, finish ur training with ur mouse and keyboard, after that try to use ur controller in multiplay

@NAGAAATO It's my controller, so i think EAC thinks some controllers are scripts and then it freezez the game, but when i switched to the * original ps4 controller it worked fine. So i also guess this is basicly a issue for people who used controllers from other brands like nacon and scuf. What controller do u use?? BTW we don't need the dev's they need us xD now they just have to fix this so i can use my good controller!

    @NAGAAATO yes as long as i use a normal controller, hate it tho, will check if i find a orignal controller with wired only when i wake up today. it's morning where i am now, have been up all night trying to fix this x)

    ok people so all we know about freezing issue is for poeple who are using controllers, how to fix it ?

    unplug it and run the game, and join training and as soon as u see bloodhound complete the first step, then as soon as u go down to teach u how to heal up, quit from training and plug the controller and play

    you must do this step every time u exit from the game, till they patch this up

    I just wanna say I love you guys and this problem is fixed for me. Even though im not a controller player, it was always connected to my pc. and it was just a simple fix. thank you guys

    @noyadecontroller please do not say screw Ea, ea has nothing 2 do with it, it's just bug, and im glad the issue is gone

    @NAGAAATO hey sorry dude went to sleep last night yeah I'm pretty sure it's a controller issue that just randomly started maybe an update to EAC but yeah played a few games last night no problem tbh I forgot I even had the controller plugged in it's been so long since I used it funny how one little thing and it's all okay again

    @EA_Kent I don't have a controller and the game still freezes for me. Since this seems to be somehow USB/driver/input device related I tried to unplug all my USB devices except mouse and keyboard but that didn't help. When can we except an update to this issue? I can't play the new event at all, do you know how disappointing that is?

    @xewarrior Are ur bios updated? earlier i got kinda the same freezing issue and a bios update fixed it, that was long before this issue with the controller appeared tho. What steps have u done to try to fix it?

    @EA_Kent I don't have a controller plugged either so that might be one common issue but it's not the root of the problem...it's probably related to some usb devices and plugging in or out to just play the game and hope it works it's just not a solution...cmon a week already put some pressure on EAC to fix their * anticheat

    @NAGAAATO  Thanks for all you effort. EA should pay you for finding that bug. 

    Iam not using controller, but a USB headset. When I start my game, it still freezes on dropship, but then when I unplug my headset during freeze it recovers. So EAC pretty sures gets messed up due to USB devices. Seems EAC really tests their software very poorly.  But maybe it involves new Windows Update 2004 also.

    With that knowledge, I feel really supid not having tried to unplug the USB headset before, as it took me almost a week ot find that out. One week without APEX! This community really gave me the right direction though. Thanks everybody. We should all get free heirloom for that.

    @NeoNorticdo u use any kind of USB ? unplug your keyboard and everthing, expect the mouse, use the mouse to control the game and join a match

    as soon as u on ground, plug them back and try

    @NAGAAATO I mean I'll try doing that but I have like 7 usbs plugged(tried without some of them, but I have my soundcard, oculus sensors a hub, Oculus headset, etc) so it will take me some time to check which one it is. And I hope that works, but thanks you dude I'll keep trying later.

    @NAGAAATO ok I'm glad to say that it's definitely an issue with the USB devices and in my case, it was mi DAC/amp I removed it and it worked. Then I tried the same using another port of my pci-USB card instead of one of my pc and it froze for a second then it worked flawlessly so it's not only device-specific but maybe there are some ports that are also not affected by this. Thanks you so much Krampus and the other dude who gave insights on this USB issue without you I guess we would still be weeks away from an official fix.

    So yesterday I tried to unplug all USB devices except mouse/keyboard and game was still freezing but I completely forgot that I recently upgraded to a USB DAC, which I didn't unplug. So I unplugged just the DAC, started a new game and then plugging it back in when I landed and it does prevent freezing in the dropship. After dying I immediately started a new game, *without* unplugging the DAC this time and the game still works. I don't know yet if it is necessary to unplug my DAC everytime I quit and re-open Apex, or if it is now fixed permanently.

    Kudos to @NAGAAATO for figuring out the problem being related to USB devices! I'm so happy that i can finally play again after 8-9 days

    @xewarriorfinally man, im really feeling so sad for u to not helping u, i thought only controllers players who having this issue, but it seems USB problem, Im glad u r back to the game, u have to do it everytime u opening the game, I keep my game running the day, so GG and happy gaming

    @EA_Kentit seems USB devices is the probem for the cheat, Easy Anity cheat think that those USB devices are scripted and it will free the game, I hope you pass this info to the devs

    Eazy Anti cheat think that USB devices are scripted and it will freeze the game !! why ? idk ask easy anti cheat, but how do u fix it ? 
     
    if you are using controller or even if u plugged it into the pc, disconnect it from your pc and try 
     
    even tho if u have a headset that connected to a USB disconnect it it will working 100%
     
    it's a bug in easy anti cheat think that USB devices are scripted and it will freeze the game 
     
    we should wait till they fix this or try my tip to fix it 
     
    my tip will works for u. but everytimes u close the game u must disconnect the any USB devices expect mouse and keybaord, as soon as you are in match on ground connect them back
