How to lower screen resolution and settings before game boot (in case of crash)

For those who are experiencing crash when trying to change in menu video settings, it is possible to manually edit video setting, the config file is located in :

C:\Users\(*Your useraccount*)\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local

The file for video settings is called videoconfig.txt, right click on it and edit with Notepad++ (or default text editor).

Resolution and windowed mode is to be edited at line:

"setting.defaultres" "1600"  -> start at lowest possible and work your way up (1024)
"setting.defaultresheight" "900"   -> start at lowest possible and work your way up (768)
"setting.fullscreen" "0"  -> disable Fullscreen

At the lowest setting of 1024x768 I managed to get the video settings in game to change without crash. I lowered texture streaming budget and some other settings. You have to try out some stuff and see if it works. I'm currently running a Nvidia GTX1050 ti but Fullscreen 1080p is still a bit too demanding for this budget video card.
