I can not hear my friend in game chat what does this mean and how can I fix it I've done the normal mute unmuts as well as voice chat on and off. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled and so did he

imaxbeastx360 A few questions:
- Are you able to see each other's chat messages?
- Is the game's audio set to use the correct headset? (Check both in-game and from within the Windows sound settings)
- Does Apex, (and by extension Windows), have permission to use your mic?
- Have you tried updating, (or reinstalling), the headset's drivers/software?
- Does your mic work with other programs, (such as Discord), and if not, is the mic muted?
- Do you have each other blocked, muted, or silenced through a platform setting?
