I unlinked my account to a new email and lost all of my items

With the recent update, we finally got cross progression. For a lot of people this is a great thing, but for me it was just bad news. My brother and I had accidentally used the same email when we made our accounts (back in season 8), so we were technically the same person, therefore causing issues with playing together and other things right off the bat.

 Last Thursday, the 26th, I needed to unlink my switch account from his email, so I did just that. I then linked it to a brand new account I made with my email. For some reason when I log into the game, the only things I can access are the play and club menus.

Now I am stuck with all default skins and characters, but when I go into the firing range I have all my skins equipped as if nothing had happened. And yet when I play that character it sets it back to the default.

I am hoping I can get all of my items back since I have been playing since season 8 and love playing the game with my siblings.

    @Magicman_80 The same thing is happening to me. I switched my email to be the same as my old ps4 account so I can have cross progression. But now I can only access play and club and all but a few characters are available

    Hey @StrawhatSenpai10  and @Magicman_80

    Account progress is stored on the EA account and not the platform accounts (e.g. Switch, Xbox, PSN, Steam)

    Relinking your platform account to another EA account will not transfer it's progress due to what I just mentioned.

    You could get your data back by linking the platform account back to the EA account it was originally unlinked from.

    Oh, so would there be no way to get the data stored on that account to a new one? 

    My issue is that if I hadn't changed my account, my brother's account would have been merged into mine since we used the same email when we made our accounts.

    Correct, it would not be possible to transfer a platform account to a different EA account without losing the game data.

    Does this mean that if I try to link my account back to the other one, they will just merge?

    Thats ridiculous!! I changed the email on my Xbox account to the same email I used when I had a ps4 so that once cross progression is on apex my two accounts can merge. I find is dumb that a multi million dollar company like EA can't make a system to where ppl can link and unlink accounts and still keep all their data.
