Integrity Error: 0x8000001
Hello EA Team,
A friend of mine has been unable to launch Apex Legends since the latest update. We’ve tried multiple troubleshooting steps, but it appears there may be a bug related to the recent DX11, DX12 changes.
Here’s what we’ve done so far:
- Reinstalled Apex on Steam multiple times.
- Completely wiped all game files using Revo Uninstaller, ensuring no traces remained (including the Respawn folder).
- Performed a full Windows reinstallation, installing only essential software afterward: Nvidia drivers, Nvidia App, Discord, Steam, and Google Chrome.
Despite all troubleshooting efforts, the game still won't launch. Upon clicking 'Play' on Steam, the anti-cheat starts but closes after a few seconds and the game doesn't launch at all.
PC Specs are:
- OS: Windows 11 Pro
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H
- Rams: 16GB
- Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050
- Laptop Brand: Lenovo 82K2
I would appreciate any help regarding this!
Yes, I did, but installing Daemon Tools had no effect, so it's not worth trying—this is completely false information. The actual cause of the issue was an outdated AMD integrated graphics card. As you may know, some laptops and PCs come with built-in graphics. The problem was resolved by installing AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition and updating the driver, which fixed the error for me.
To provide more context, a friend of mine had a laptop with an AMD integrated graphics card and an RTX 3050 GPU. While everything else on the PC was up to date, the AMD integrated graphics driver was outdated. Updating it to the latest version using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition resolved the issue. Based on this, there's a 99% chance that updating the AMD integrated graphics driver will fix the error.
