Intermittent crashing since ~Nov 2025
I was regularly playing Apex until around November of 2025 where I started getting intermittent crashes. I initially thought that it might have been the new update and so I gave it a little bit to see if new patches fixed it. I've come back again now for the new season of S28 Breach to see if it's fixed but I'm still getting the intermittent crashes.
I've tried various things from:
- GPU updates (all using DDU with clean installs) to the latest driver, rolling back to 561.09 as suggested in (https://trello.com/c/oDaxbJ2q/567-dx12-dxgierrordeviceremoved-crashes-when-nvidia-gpus-are-used-with-certain-cpus)
- BIOS updated to the newest version
- cmd ran with administrator to run:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
sfc /scannow - I've tried verifying integrity of files on Steam, re-installing the game
- XMP files to underclock RAM and default settings tried as well
- Underclocked core ratios (this worked previously with another fix which is why I tried this)
- Re-installed and repaired with DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer.
- Removed and uninstalled Armoury Create entirely
- Removed any and all overlays when playing the game
Tried Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling OFF and ON
Updated to latest Windows 25H2
I may have done a bit more that I just can't remember but I've gone through quite a lot of methods to try and troubleshoot and fix this.
I've tried looking at reliability monitor but nothing is ever recorded. The most I get from event viewer is
- Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022
But I've tried to search that up with no success in any solutions (not sure if it's tied directly to my .dmps below)
Usually I boot up the game and queue/play around 30mins - 1hr before I crash. In this scenario 2 things usually happen:
1. Apex crashes to desktop with no error or log when I try to load back to see if I can rejoin I get told that I have to verify my files, which I do to no success
2. Apex crashes and gives a log/.dmp files which I've attached to this post - all .dmp files seem similar
My specs are as follows:

I'm only having crashes/issues on Apex Legends and Battlefield 6. The only connection I can see is that they both use EAC but the problem for BF6 might be entirely different.
Any help is much appreciated, apologies if some of this is all over the place as I've gotten pretty tired from troubleshooting this.
