@EA_Mako Anything I can do? I want to be able to play the game but I don’t have some of my character unlocks, can’t upgrade the battle pass and I can’t unlock the new character. I can’t even open any of my apex packs. Just a big drag.
Hey @Turminyall @DarkMinded17,
To confirm, which platform are you trying to play on when you're getting these Code: Tap errors?

I'm getting Code:Tap on PS5 and Xbox Series S, haven't tried PC yet but I would assume its probably affecting PC also as this only started happening after cross progression for me.

I'm sure a lot of you are aware of the siutation, cross progression sometimes fail to work eventhough you recieved the message about it. The same thing happend to me, I got the message i pressed continue, it loaded for a bit, i when i got in the lobby i didnt recieve the 2nd prompt as those have whose cross progression is working. I got none of my stuff that i have on my consloe account.
I talked with the support via ea help chat, they asked some questions but it didnt really help, the guy said that its out of his hands and i should write to this forum and a higher level collague would tell me the exact things to do so here im i. I belive that this is not enough effort from an ea employee to shake me down like that and tell me that others will know what to do because he doesnt.
Please tell me if you know the solution for this or faced the same thing, i would be happy to hear from an ea employee about helping me in the coming days.
thank you

Hey folks,
As many of you have mentioned linking/unlinking accounts and finding progress missing, keep in mind that progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.
Please read through our pinned guides for more information. We have some additional information about this particular situation in our blog and guides linked below as well, but if you have any issues re-linking your accounts please reach out to support so they can help get your platform account back to its original EA account.
With the above in mind, please note that linking other platforms to this account would result in lost progress. It appears you may have multiple EA accounts as the one you're posting with currently does not have a linked Xbox account, so there would not be a way to combine progress from separate EA accounts like this.
If you're still wanting to go through that process but are having trouble due to the verification portion, our support will need to help out. If you create a new case here (or above) and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can take a look.

Did you link any platforms from a different EA account? Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.
It looks like your PlayStation account, for example, only launched Apex on this EA account for the first time back at the very end of last year. If you had played Apex on PlayStation before that, it would have been on a different EA account.
We have some additional information about this particular situation in our blog and guides below, but if you have any issues re-linking your accounts please reach back out to support so they can help get your platform account back to its original EA account.
Similar to the information above, it looks like your PlayStation account is linked to your current account now, but was previously linked to a different EA account. That would mean your progress is still on the original EA account and is why you're not seeing it show up here.
You would need to re-link the PlayStation account to its original EA account to try restoring access to that progress. Please see the above to get in touch with support if you need any help re-linking the original accounts. I'm afraid it's not possible to transfer or merge content between separate EA accounts.
Similar to the above, it sounds like this would be due to your Xbox account being originally linked to a different EA account, as mentioned in your earlier post. Linking it to a different account will not transfer that progress, and you'll instead lose access to it which is why it's not showing up for you.
The only option would be to try re-linking your Xbox account to a prior EA account, though if that's already been relinked to the correct account and you're still not seeing progress that would be lost I'm afraid. Any time an account is unlinked, there's the possibility of permanently losing game progress.

I've checked and the account that I've used on Xbox is connected to the account that I use currently and has been for a while. No change has been made recently
