Lag is making game unplayable

Since returning to the game after being away for a month, I've noticed when putting the dummies on strafe mode in the firing range they move around, but disappear and reappear from one place to the next instead of walking with fluid movements.   

The same happens with other players.  This makes it difficult to shoot at someone since they are already in another place when you are shooting at them.  It has happened in mixtape and pubs both today.

The movement has been very slow and jagged, not smooth like it was before.

I had high ping a couple times, but this last time I had 60 ping with no packet loss and it still happened, meaning this must be apex legends servers causing this and not necessarily my connection. 

Im playing on switch, so is there any way this can be fixed?  Thanks.
