Lifetime ban for giving an advice.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something pretty unbelievable that just happened to me on Apex Legends. I’ve been permanently banned from the game… because of a single message I typed in the chat.
Here’s exactly what I said:
[REMOVED]
To clarify: I was talking to a player whose username literally starts with “mf”, and I was referring to Mad Maggie’s ultimate — the big bouncing ball. It wasn’t vulgar, it wasn’t sexual, and it wasn’t meant as an insult.
But apparently, EA assumed that [REMOVED] stood for [REMOVED] and flagged me for abusive language. Even if that were true (which it’s not), there’s zero evidence that was my intention. It was just part of the player’s name and a gameplay-related comment. That’s all.
And for that, they hit me with a permanent ban. Not a warning. Not a suspension. A full-on lifetime ban — over a line that got completely misinterpreted.
And here’s the kicker: when I tried to appeal the ban, EA’s automated system literally told me that my messages would be deliberately ignored. So not only was I punished unfairly, but now I’m being silenced for trying to challenge that injustice. I’ve lost my account, my progress, and my voice.
What’s worse is that my last sanction was over three years ago. Since then, I’ve kept it clean — no toxicity, no issues, nothing. I’ve been on my best behavior for years. And now, suddenly, I’m out — permanently — over one harmless line.
I get the need for moderation, but this is just overkill. There’s no context, no second chances, and no room to even explain yourself. Honestly, I’ve never seen anything this extreme for something so small.
If anyone’s been through something similar or knows a way to actually get heard by EA, I’d love to know. Otherwise, let this be a warning: one misunderstood message might be all it takes to lose everything.
The name of that account (This is a new one that I created for post this message) was "I know where is MH370.
