Any platform accounts that you unlink and re-link to a different EA Account can result to loss of progression due to the saved data that is in your EA Profile (Progress & Stats)
All platform accounts must be under the same EA Account previously so that Cross Progression can take into affect.
Hey just got the prompt around 10 minutes ago for cross progression on my pc clicked into the lobby and didn't receive any cosmetics/badges/currency, my main account is on the ps4, lots of cosmetic and lots of badges, I switched to pc a few days ago when I heard the news of cross progression. Is there anything else I need to do or is this just a glitch? And yes i have made sure the same accounts are all linked, everything is working on my end.

Hey, I'm 99% sure it isn't because of a problem on your part as what you just described happened to me too and I double checked to see if my accounts were linked. But it seems this is happening to many other players, so I wouldn’t worry too much as hopefully respawn can fix it soon. Although it is kinda annoying that we've been waiting so long for cross progression just to find out it isn't working as intended.
