Linking steam account wiped steam progress and purchases

I linked my steam account to my origin account in an attempt to claim the prime gaming gift but it completely wiped by progress on steam including my ingame purchases. What am I supposed to do now to restore my apex profile on steam?

This thread is quite a few years old and is being locked here to avoid further necroposting.

If you've linked a Steam account to an EA Account and found your progress has been lost, keep in mind that progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc.

You would need to re-link your Steam account to its original EA Account to recover any missing progress. If you run into any issues re-linking accounts, please contact support directly so they can take a look.

@_applejuic_1 Hello,
When linking it syncs to the current save of your origin account. When you unlink steam it will go back to where your origin data is when unlinked. Anything you do on origin saves on origin and anything on Steam is cosmetic When linked (in theory)
So when you unlink, it gets rid of steam data which removes steam progress.

You can get this progress back by re linking your steam account.
If already unlinked, then you must have read the warning label posted before it allows you to disconnect.

the steam account is linked with an account I just made with my steam account and its says that I cannot unlike my steam till the 25th December next year

just happened to me, was trying to get prime gaming items, when linking to steam it created new account with existed account mail and all wiped.. have you fixed it?
