Low Gpu usage

Hi. I have a 3060ti/12400f and my fps drops from 300 to 120 in Apex Legends. The video card is loaded only by 50-75%. A year ago, my fps never dropped below 180. High settings don't put more load on the graphics card, lol. It seems to me that there is some kind of built-in bottleneck in the game.

PC specs: 12400f, 3060ti, 16g 3200 ram

If changing the graphics settings have no effect on the graphics or framerate, you may want to triple check your display is connected to your GPU and not the motherboard video output. An easy mistake to make and I have certainly done this in the past.

A couple of general troubleshooting steps:

    1. Run System File Checker to help ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
    2. Perform a clean boot before starting: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 or http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

    Thanks.

  • EA_BarryI literally run the game after clean install win 10/11 with only steam installed. The graphics are changing for the better, but the load on the graphics card is not. I run tiranfall 2 and I didn't have any problems with low gpu load. I tried all the suggested steps and they didn't help. My windows system files are intact. my display connected to GPU and i'm use pcie 4.0x16. No problem with my pc in other games.

  • I've seen a bunch of streamers like xzylas/hiswattson that have the same problem on excellent hardware. Everything is fine with my PC. Game is not fine

I'm having the same problem. I have a 13900K with a 4090 which never had trouble maintaining maximum FPS of 280 which is my monitor refresh rate but now in-game fluctuates between 200 to 250 but almost never stays at max of 280 with everything low settings. Putting everything on MAX or LOW makes no difference. 2 windows fresh installs, 4 apex fresh installs with no difference. I have no idea what to do.

Forgot to mentionat that I get the "Possible Corruption in Installed Apex Files" error everytime I load Apex. I have to retry 4-5 times for it to let me in. Verifying the game files makes or reinstalling apex no difference btw. I tried everything I found on reddit about this subject.
