Massive FPS drop Season 8
FPS drops, all over the map. It has certain areas where it's totally fine, I can maintain 144 FPS, then I look in another way, and FPS drops down even to 90. No matter what settings I use, Ultra or L...
I think its more of a cpu usage issue in general. The game is not doing it properly.
I hate to keep spamming this thread https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/3080-tuf-oc-ed-same-stutter-in-apex-once-twice-a-game-w-frametimegraph.436073/ but the game has issues on how it uses the cpu. (intel included)
Personally I've had issues since I upgraded to my 3080 (around the last quarter of season 7) So I can't be 100% its only a game/driver issue since I can't go back to the old driver (442.59) my 1080ti used to use which didn't have any issues.
At least streamers can run the game 200+ fps all the time. Avarage players don't matter.
In range, the game runs very smoothly, but in pubs, the frame rate is not stable. Especially in dropship, the framerate is only 30-40, and when I land, it is less than 100. This problem has been occurring since season 8. I use 2080ti and 10900k
Playing in the 200 fps range is not the issue and you cannot rely on streams to portray smoothness as they are rendered videos at 60fps.Your live game at 60 fps and a video of gameplay rendered at 60fps is MUCH different.
Like I said it's not a matter 200fps but stability. You can have 200fps for 90% of your game but stutters/micro stutters/fps drops can still occure and thats the main focus of this thread. Also willing to bet if streamers played with a frametime graph up they would probably display similar results.
