Match Bug

This is an issue with APEX. I'm playing on PS5.


It's difficult to play smoothly with friends.
The main phenomena are:
・Unable to accept a friend's invitation
・Even when joining a party, only I can't get matched
・Not matching with friends
 → Only I get matched and enter the game
 → Only my friends get matched and enter the game
This happens whether I have one friend or two. This happens whether using wired or wireless connections.
After about 10-20 minutes of repeating the above issues, I can sometimes get a match. After that, I can play consecutive matches with my friends using the party queue. However, even during consecutive matches, I occasionally get kicked out of the party and matched alone. When that happens, I have to repeat the above steps.


Below are the troubleshooting steps I've taken:
・Restarting the router
・Reinstalling the game
・Switching between wired and wireless connections

・Restarting the game (e.g., closing the game when it fails to match)


My network environment details are as follows:
・I use NURO Hikari for my internet connection. My upload and download speeds are as follows:
 →Upload around 800, download around 300.
・Both my NAT type and my friends' NAT type are Type 2. UPnP is enabled.


I haven't found anyone else with similar issues online, and I'm really struggling with this.
I've been playing Apex since Season 2 and love the game, so I'd really appreciate any advice on how to fix this.

    Are you still encountering this issue when trying to matchmake with friends? Also, are all of you playing on PS5/PS4 and what DataCenters are yall using? 

  • Hey EA_Mari Thanks for your comment. Sorry for the late reply—I didn't notice it earlier. This issue still hasn't been resolved. I'm playing the game on PS5 and using the ap-northeast-1 DataCenter.

    I am also having this issue on Xbox, support basically told me they dont know why its happening. We have tried everything, we both deleted eachother off of friends and re did that. Deleted and reinstalled the game, checked nat types, logged into different data centers, cleared cache, power cyceld the consoles etc. Nothing has worked

    Hi,

    I'm also experiencing this issue.
    Using PS5 only (for both party members), connecting the EU server (EU-central-1) as that is the only reasonable server I can use being from the middle east.

    I tried every technical solution I know (and I've worked in ISP tech support, so that basically covers all issues that can be on my end).

    **Updating:
    Connected to a different server (with over 150ms ping)    but the issue did no occur.

    Any suggestions?

  • The matter has been resolved. In conclusion, I changed the Wi-Fi provider I use at home. If you encounter the same issue and cannot resolve it, you might consider switching your Wi-Fi provider outright.
