Mic not working, using steel series arctis 7

I'm using the steel series arctis 7 headset and it's not letting me talk. I have changed to open mic and push to talk and neither have worked. On the mic threshold bar it shows that I am talking but no one can hear me and my mic isn't activating

    my mic would never pick up unless i had it plugged in prior to opening the game.
