Mic not working with In Game Chat (Xbox)
Since the Season 12 split my microphone can no longer be heard in game chat. I can hear others but they cannot hear me. I have researched and tested multiple theories and the Contact EA online chat option said to report this bug. Background information : Playing on a Xbox Series X with an Astro A40 Mixamp Pro headset. Headset works fine in Xbox Party Chat and while streaming through OBS Studio with an El Gato HD60 S+ and El Gato Chat Link cable. There is no microphone icon on my banner in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
1.) I have cleared my MAC address and reset my Xbox
2.) I have removed and redownloaded Apex Legends
3.) I have changed my Xbox setting from Dolby Atmos to Stereo Uncompressed
4.) I have verified my headset is up to day
5.) I have changed headsets to an Astro A50 wireless set up with the same results.
6.) I have reached out to EA online chat who verified that Disable Voice Chat is OFF, Convert Incoming Voice to Chat Text is OFF, and all volumes at greater than zero.
The lack of communication between me and my teammates has ruined the competitive experience for me. I cannot effectively play at the caliber of gameplay that I am so accustomed to before this point. I am cut off from Play Station and PC players to whom I also stream with and until this issue is resolved I am afraid I am done with this game.
Second issue with Xbox Party Chat is that I can now hear in game chat while I am in party. Is this a connected issue and is there a way to mute in game chat while in game?
