Microphone really low on push to talk

Hey.

Have been using webcams for Apex Legends since season 7 as my mic. For quite a long time it was all good, lately (season or so) more and more people complain that my voice is too low for them even after cranking up voice chat setting in game.

Also:

1. mic is working fine - tested online and in various apps / games
2. mic is working fine picking up even my PC fans!!!! when on open mic setting
3. mic IS NOT working fine when push to talk with sensitivity limit set to 0 or 50 or higher... just barely activates when I am talking

My webcam is eMeet c960 if it matters.

Please help!
