mouse/keyboard settings reset after quitting game and logging back in

Whenever I configure my control settings, they reset whenever I quit the game and log back in.
I change my sensitivity, interact/pickup, equip survival item, and aim down sight (hold) controls, because after playing for a long time I found the setting that suits me most.
I would like to find a solution to this issue, as constantly changing the settings whenever I log back in is tedious.

I play apex on steam. Any solutions?

Does all your settings not save? @DearMaze Most of the time it can be firewall or Anti-virus stopping APEX from saving in the document folder.

sorry for the late response.
If it happens to be firewall/anti-virus, would I simply remove Apex Legends from the list of apps that communicate through windows defense firewall?
Wouldn't want to mess around with these settings unless I know for sure what I'm doing.
