My cfg file is empty for no reason

I just re-installed the APEX legend and tried to put some my previous cfg files, however when I opened the cfg file after reinstalled game there were nothing (empty!!). I tried to do recover from EA app, tried to reinstall game and even reset my laptop, but when I enter the game file the cfg file is literally empty except client file. Also the weird thing is that before I erase the game I settled my capslock key as the jump key, however after I reinstalled the game why am I able to jump with the caps lock key? even my in-game key for jump is space bar and wheel down!!! Please help me with this problem!!

  • Im having the same problem here, I tried reinstalling Apex, which didnt work, I also verified the files twice, which had the same result, and I also deleted the cfg folder and booted the game back up, but I also had the same problem. I'm not sure if they just compacted the files somewhere else, but currently apex can't even run for me at the moment, which it used to be able to. I may try deleting every thing I can find of apex and reinstall the game. I'll update if I find a fix for it.

  • Update: I think this might be part of some form of update, I had my buddy check his pc and he had the exact same cfg folder, only with the client folder inside it. Maybe try deleting the cfg folder then booting up apex to resolve your caps lock issue? Deleting the cfg file then launching the game will make a brand new file and reset everything back to default. A bit annoying, but it should solve your problem

I just tried to delete the whole cfg file and booted the game but it just came back to same status, empty cfg. I think its good time to leave this game lol ty for helping it was at least better suggestion than most EA supporters
