New Account Cross Progression

Good question and definitely one we've been hearing from others as well.

Just to clarify, this is with regards to this portion of the blog post.

Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged.

This is referring to the process of merging your content between accounts, not the ability to use Cross Progression.

In your situation, let's assume you just have a PlayStation account linked to your EA account, and haven't ever attached an Xbox account. If you then connect a new Xbox account to that same EA account, you'll have access to that content on both PlayStation and Xbox accounts going forward (as well as any future platforms you may link).

What you'd need to worry about in relation to the warning above is that any content you unlock on that new Xbox account before the migration takes place (this is not going to be day 1 for every player) will not be merged with your PlayStation content, as the new account was created after the date in this example.

You're absolutely fine to link a new Xbox account to the same EA account afterwards and use your progression from PlayStation. 🙂

Hi so i had the same anxiousness cus my xbox acc had loads of hours on it and i went to link it to a fresh pc account but the pc acc had exited since 2016 so im wondering if my accounts will merge because i linked on the 29th
