performance

Recently I've been experiencing high temperatures when running apex legends after the lost treasures event update. Even before season 5 I could run on medium settings, after the season change I had to set everything to low and mess around with config files to get smooth game play at around 70 to 85 degrees Celcius, which I was comfortable with (I play on a laptop). Now, I'm consistently  in the 85 to 97 degree range, sometimes even hitting 100 degrees.

I've tried repairing game files and completely reinstalling, this did seem to make GPU frame times more consistent but the temperature is still a problem.

My specs:
Laptop: Lenovo Legion Y720p

GPU: gtx 1060 6gb

CPU: i7-7700hq

RAM: 12GB

Is there anything I can do? I really enjoy the game and just want to run it like I did back in season 4 again. ☹️
