ps controller xbox layout

Are you playing on a PC with a Microsoft Operating system? If so, many games that are designed to play on the PC platform usually take on the controller button icons of Microsoft's Xbox Controller; unless that particular game has a controller detect feature that would detect a ps controller and change the icons. If you wanted a Sony Playstation controller button design layout, I assume the only way may be to play using a playstation emulator or look into modifying your files to show the preferred controller button images.
