PS4 controller on PC has stopped working

Hey folks!

I use a PS4 controller to play Apex on PC. It's worked fine up until the last stability patch, whereupon it's stopped working. It used to recognise the pad and switch the interface to PS4 button labelling as soon as I plugged it in and pressed a button, but now nothing I do works. Have tried two different controllers and multiple cables, and also tried removing all other USB devices, to no avail. Could this be the last patch fouling things up?

Appreciate any help on this. Thanks EA personnel for your hard work in what is I'm sure a difficult situation!

@Konform103 It works fine, because it works fine with my PS4. It only doesn't work on the PC. I am going to see if I can dig out yet another USB cable to see if, somehow, all the ones I've tried have died at the same time.
  • @Konform103  So on the FIFTH cable I tried, it worked. My mind is absolutely blown that this many cables (all confirmed for charge+sync on other devices) didn't work. Thank you very much for all your help in any case.
