(PS4) "Your login credentials might have expired."

I took a break from Apex for a few months and decided to play it again. I have always played on PS4. When I returned I was greeted with this message (see attached file) whenever I pressed play from the title screen. It tells me to change my password at ea.com, but how would I do this when my account was made with PSN? I don't see any option to login with Playstation on the EA website. Do I change my PSN password instead?

  • Hey @GrandStephManual

Whenever your play an EA Game you do make an EA Account in order to access online features, this may be the same email on your PSN or possibly an older one when you went to play Apex Legends or any other game. Based on the message you can try resetting (steps below) if you have issues or can't get past the message then please reach out to an EA Game Advisor so they can further assist with your Account.

    Reset Password:

    • Go to help.ea.com
    • Click sign in, top right
    • Select forgot password

  • Ea advisors don’t answer the questions you ask them. They keep giving links for stuff I have already tried a 1000 times and the is no help from ea’s “advisors” * company locking out half their players because they haven’t played in a month or so

It says, "something went wrong, try again later", Every time i try to add it to my library after I logged in. No help from "ea advisors " either. So frustrating because I really want to play with an old buddy!

  • Yes, they are not helpful at all. EA has all of my information and I give it back to them except the name 2 EA games and dates you played them. You have my name, credit card info, stuff that proves it is me. And because I can't name games over a 15 year period of having the account you can't give me access to my account. Fix yourselves EA.

  • The same exact thing I've changed my password multiple times but the message keeps popping up not allowing me to play Madden 22

  • I tried contacting an advisor after almost two hours on chat and answering all the question . I was told that I have to GameStop and have the delink the game that i bought pre owned because it was link to someone else. Then I replied back saying that my username for my psn id has been mine since 2010 and pretty much I was called a lier because supposedly it was link to another email. I asked few times if the ps4 or the game needed to be delink and no straight answer . So at this point might return the ps4 and the game and called it quit since it seems I need another degree to be able to play a game and do updates .
