PS5 Game Crashes Constantly

Over the last 48-72 hours I’ve been unable to finish a single match if it goes beyond about 10-15 minutes on PS5 without a crash.

Prior to crashing, I’ll lose most game audio and a min or two later everything freezes. Then I have to force quit and an auto generated error report is sent. Fire the game back up and it will pull me back into the match. Usually as I’m dying.

Apex is essentially unplayable at this point. I restarted my router, modem, and PS5 and still no luck.

I’ve tried playing other games and have no issues. I’m assuming this has to do with season 9 prep work. Hopefully this bug won’t be permanent.

  • The solution to this is deleting the game and reinstalling. Before launching, put in safe mode and clear cache and then rebuild the database. Restart and attempt to connect.

Worked for me but it was a real pain in the *.

  • Hey @sandzyomama  Could you try to power cycle the console and see if that helps.

    Power cycle the PlayStation console

    1. Completely turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button.
    2. Wait for the power light to stop flashing, then remove the power cable and leave the system for 20 minutes.
    3. Reconnect and attempt to launch Safe Mode.
