PSN account and Steam account linked to 2 different EA accounts. Cross-prog?

Hello,

I've been waiting a long time for EA to add cross-progression to Apex, and it's finally here, but I'm having a problem. I played Apex from season 1 to season 8 on PS4. I've been on PC since then. However, my PSN Account and Steam account are linked to two different EA accounts. I know that the two platforms have to be sharing the same EA account for cross-progression, but there's no way I could've known that so long ago. Is there anything I can do? I know not to unlink my PSN account with my EA account because it can only be linked to one EA account, and it will lose progress anyway. If I tried to unlink my Steam account, I would lose all my progress here. If it comes down to choosing which account I'll stick with, it'll be this one because I have an heirloom on here, but I have the Battlepass R99 skins from season 7 on my PS Account. I really want to get those on here. If there's no way to fix this now, I hope EA comes up with a solution, because I wouldn't be surprised if other people are also having this issue.

Thanks

  • Heya @bentfingers34

It's not possible in your case to have these 2 accounts linked as they're on different EA accounts.

Cross progression was designed for transferring progress between platforms on a single EA account and not between multiple EA accounts.

It definitely isn't a great situation as a lot of other players are also facing this dilemma, though it would be a whole different challenge to change it in such a way that it would be possible.

  • Same! I have a heirloom on pc, but on console I have about the same amount of money spent from battlepasses and a skin. I also played apex before I got a pc, so another account was created and cross-play & cross-progression didn't exist. I emailed them and they said apex accounts cannot be merged. So despite cross-progression coming out, the situation doesn't change for us. Sucks because I'd be okay with losing my pc account if the heirloom was sent to my older console account.
