Random Packet Loss in every server ONLY in Apex

For a few weeks now, I'm getting random Packet Loss on every Server near my country (Germany) and the Frankfurt server inclusive. The Packet Loss occur very randomly, sometimes in every game and some...

    @CactusDuc 

    No worries, thanks for following up! Have you had a chance to try setting a different DNS in Windows to see if that helps at all? I've seen cases in the past where using a different DNS can make a difference with issues like this. 

    You can update your DNS through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. For more information on how to get there check out the Microsoft Support website. If you choose the Manual option you can enter a DNS of your choosing. I usually go with the public Google DNS (Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8; Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4), but if there's a different DNS you would rather use instead that's OK as well.

Hi @CactusDuc, 

There are some other things we can try which might help out with the issues you've been seeing. First, can you try setting up a Clean Boot on your PC to see if that makes any difference at all? If there's anything else running on the PC that could be related to these connection issues that may help to get around it. 

For more details on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help website. Please let me know how it goes once you've had the chance to give it a shot.

Hi @EA_Kent ,

Sorry for the very late reply I had a pretty busy week and got barely time to play and only played a few rounds now and then without any packet loss (luckily I guess). But today was pretty bad again and pretty much unplayable so I did a clean boot and followed the steps as you mentioned in the link but didn't help at all...

How can I analyse/monitor my connections while I'm playing or in general? Or what should I try next? I realised your reply was the accepted solution since I didn't reply in time I guess but unfortunately it wasn't.

      @EA_Kent yeah im having the same server issues for months on my ps4. and its only been getting worse. the slow motion gameplay just started last week?!?

      Nothing works... I've had this issue ever since I downloaded Apex again a few weeks back. I tried Origin first, then Steam same issue, my brothers PC same issue.

      No other game is like this, I never get packet loss in a game, except for Apex, I've tried all the steps watched countless videos about how to fix this issue, there just seems to be no fix for it and I'll have to play with it like that :P

        @Rexxxey Trust me I've been in your exact same situation. I tried numerous things to fix it with zero success and then finally decided to write this thread even though there are plenty of them with the same/similar problems and I was considering quitting the game because of that but I kept on playing because I kinda got addicted to Apex and at some point (It was like 2 weeks after I started this thread) I stopped getting packet loss (somehow). And after a week of playing almost everyday I finally accepted that the packet loss was finally gone even though I'm still getting a little bit anxious every time I jump in a new game that the packet loss might return at some point... I don't think "patience is the key" because those problems could occur at any time at any day. Even to this day If I check the server list my second closest server (Amsterdam) is getting 20% - 30% packet loss sometimes but all the other servers are doing fine (even though it doesn't say anything to the actual packet loss I was getting in-game as I mentioned in my initial post)

      Hi, I haven't replied for a long time again since my last reply because for some reason the packet loss magically disappeared since the last time I replied to the thread without me doing anything and I don't really know how and why.

      I literally didn't do anything to my pc except updating drivers and stuff when there were new ones released (mainly graphics driver from nvidia or windows updates).

      I can play at anytime now without having mad packet loss even though I'm still checking everytime I start a new game if there is any. I'm still running the same applications on the background ( Discord, Spotify and browser at the same time) and I have no problems.

      I can't say I solved this issue because I haven't done anything at all which is the weirdest part. There were times where the game was really slow (like everything was in slow-motion) and stuttering but those problems were server-sided I'm pretty sure because my mates were experiencing the same as I was.

      But yeah, I'm sorry I can't help you because I'm just as confused as you are probably.
