All but one of the UO Traces looks pretty solid. The trace you ran back in March does look pretty rough, though. There's a lot of packet loss, and the ping spikes up pretty high. 

I'm wondering if this might be something that only happens sporadically. Do you typically play around the same time of day? Do you notice any differences depending on what time of day you're playing at all?

  • So the other two were run when the game wasn't running, the one in March was while the game was running. That's why they look so different, but I am sure if I ran it while the game was up they would all look like March. I play at random times throughout the day, have tried it anywhere from 12am - 12am. Random days and random times.

    I see. Is there a lot of other activity happening on your network at the same time you're trying to play? 

    Do you have other devices running on the same network streaming videos or running downloads, for example?

  • Always, but that has never been a problem before this and it still hasn't interfered with my other games. We use close to 2TB of data monthly, with uncapped data.

    I'm not seeing any issues that should be affecting your region at the moment. Considering that this is something that started happening around the time your network connection was changed, it seems like it may be something happening with your service provider. 

    I think it would be best to follow up with them so they can take another look and see if they can identify any issues that may be causing this to happen.

  • I have finally been able to play Apex @EA_Kent. It seems that the issue came from being connected via Wifi. Since I am in a 2 story house it was very hard to get a wired connection but we finally were able to do it and I am not having connection issues anymore. It must be a problem with the Comcast Xfi modems and unfortunately they do not accept 3rd party routers.

    I'm glad to hear it's improved for you now. Playing on wifi, especially if the router is located pretty far away can definitely cause some problems. I know that using a wired connection isn't always possible, but it's definitely a good idea. It's good to hear you were able to get this sorted out! 👍
