Re: Apex constantly crashing, freezing

Hey @AsvpArti,

The errors you're mentioning do specifically indicate a potential issue with the graphics card drivers.

Since you mentioned you're already running the latest drivers, it may be worth removing and reinstalling them from scratch with something like DDU, or even trying to roll them back to an earlier state to see if that changes things.

If you're still running into trouble after that, can you attach a DxDiag so we can get a bit more information about this?

    Thank you for your answer, I have tried plenty of different drivers (I’d say at least 6) and the crashes remained, on my current driver I get no error message, but still crashes or freezes without one.

  • Having the same issues and what you suggested doesn't work, as well as many other things that are suggested online. I did notice that I get window notification errors after it crashes with the 0x887A0005 or 0x887A0006. Here is what it looks like on the notification side:

    Are there any other users with these problems currently or in the past and what they did to fix it?

    @Ziplocs

    In addition to the driver update/reinstall, it may be worthwhile trying your CPU, GPU and RAM at stock clock speeds.

    Often, GPUs are factory overclocked and this can cause an issue if the overclock is too optimistic.

    Thanks.

    @EA_Barry All of it looks normal so far. None overclocked. Not to mention it seems like it is an EasyAntiCheat problem because only Apex and sometimes Splitgate would crash back when it used the same anticheat engine

    Hey, it's still happenning frequently. I did a DDU today, updated the drivers again and still got the same freeze after 2 matches.

    The "freeze" completely stills out the picture, I can't do anything, not even Task manager or anything else to close the game. I waited for 5 mins and nothing. I had to force restart my computer.

    I have attached the dxdiag after the restart, I don't know if it helps.

    Thank you in advance.
