Thats why you disable vsync in game, but limit your fps with RivaTuner. No input lag.

The fix doesn't seem to work for me even when lowering to like 45 FPS. Crashed part way through first match.

3 people on my squad, all 3 of us have crashing issues.

We all have 6700k, 7700k, or 8700k.  All have 1080TIs.

We've lowered texture streaming memory down to 2-3GB (very low?) and it seems to have helped, but not solved it.

This is beyond frustrating, along with no head bob options.

  • I have been dealing with these random exit to desktop crashes and have tried everything..

The solution for me was to cap the frame rate to 75, I found the reason it randomly closes is because of the high load on the gpu … if you cap your frame rate at the point where your gpu usage is below 90% usage that should stop it from randomly closing.

This will vary depending on what gpu you have and how much its being utilized at what settings etc

I have all settings on high / very high at 1080p, there is no reason at all to reduce the settings so your game looks like a potato.. I read a lot of people with decent rigs running the game on low settings and I just cringe thinking about it..

The reason why reducing the settings works is because it is reducing the load on the gpu, which capping your frame rate will also do..

Cap your frame rate to either 60,75 or 90... and it should stop your game from randomly closing, atleast it did for me and I was getting a crash every single game and tried all of the above.

Kinda pissed I cant run the game at an uncapped frame rate without it crashing at the moment as I have a 144hz monitor, but this solution will have to do until they address the issue and it is plenty playable at 75fps.

  • I have a Radeon R7 370 2GB and I meet the minimum requirements to play the game.
I play at around 70-80 FPS smoothly and never had any problems with my current setup.
I capped my FPS, played with everything on low, I even got a different monitor with a smaller resolution to reduce the workload on my GPU. Right now I'm still crashing to desktop with no error message.

RIP me I guess. I can run GTAV on medium but I can't run Apex Legends on low.
