What platform are you on? (Steam or Origin)

Try repairing your game files to see if that resolves your issue.

Next to that, check your firewall settings and see if Apex is able to connect. (A new antivirus would cause such problems)

Are you using Ethernet or WiFi?

To what DNS did you switch?

According to someone else you need to also configure your Ipv6 DNS

    IPV4IPV6
    8.8.8.82001:4860:4860::8888
    8.8.4.4
    2001:4860:4860::8844
  • Hello,

I have the same problem I think.

I get an infinite loading screen with the steam version and the same error as in the screenshot with origin.

Redownloading or repairing the files did not solve the problem.

My firewall should be configured properly but just to be sure I tested with it being disabled aswell.

I tested with several different DNS (including the posted one) and still got the same problem.

    Heya @Happy7388,

To begin, try updating your OS to the latest version.

(If you have any USB Flash drives plugged in, try unplugging it and check if that fixes the issue)

There are 2 methods you could try that might fix your issue:

    Method 1

Disable the in-game steam overlay, to achieve this follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Right click Apex Legends in your library
    2. Select "Properties"
    3. Uncheck the box that says: "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game"

    Method 2

    Run Apex with Administrator privileges.

    1. Right click Apex Legends in your library
    2. Select "Properties"
    3. Go to "Local Files"
    4. Select "Browse..."
    5. Right click "r5apex.exe"
    6. Select "Properties
    7. Go to the "Compatibility" tab
    8. Check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator"
    9. Press apply
  • Thank you for your quick response.

Before I saw your message I did some further tests on my own which seem to have solved the problem.

I am not sure if what I did was responsible for solving the problem though.

What I did when it finally worked again was the following:

-) steam version, steam overlay disabled

-) used the DNS IPs you provided, v4 and v6 (google dns afaik)

    -) my firewall was disabled

-) used a VPN client (the VPN client is what this test was about)

For some reason the loading screen finished and told me to enable steam overlay to sign in with an ea account (I had unlinked my ea and steam account in another test a few days ago).

So I restarted the game with steam overlay enabled, linked the accounts and it worked again.

Afterwards I undid my changes step by step to figure out what could have solved the problem.

disabled steam overlay --> disabled VPN --> enabled firewall --> set DNS back to automatic --> restarted PC

After each of these steps I started the game again and had no problems.

  • Thanks for your quick response brother. it helped me resolving the error.

    Thanks a lot
