What worked for me was creating a 2nd account, login to that to clear the rewards screen, then log back into your main account.
This fixed it for me. Hope it works for you. It's been super frustrating that a game breaking bug like this is still here after being reported 3 weeks ago.

The winter event login reward popup caused the same error for me. I fixed (I think I did) it by joining a different region then restarting and joining the original region.
Maybe it is possible to disable the pop ups or make them less big/restrictive?
