Re: Can't equip weapons while sprinting

Hi @QuitThirstingMe

That's pretty odd.

I'm curious if there's something that's getting in the way of the inputs. What happens if you start your PC in a Clean Boot before launching Apex Legends? If there is anything else running that's related that could help narrow it down.

For more info on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help website. Please let me know how that goes when you've got the chance. Thanks!

  • Thanks for getting back to me @EA_Kent, I tried a Clean Boot like you suggested and unfortunately I'm still experiencing the issue. It's a fresh install but I could try to reinstall if you think it would help?

    Cheers

Thanks for giving it a shot!

If you're on a fresh install I don't think we need to do a reinstall. I know that can be pretty time consuming.

Would you mind sharing your DxDiag when you have the chance? For more info on how to grab one check out the EA Help website. Once you have the text file please attach it to this thread. Thanks!

  • @EA_Kent Thanks for following up with me - I decided to go ahead and try a clean install of Apex and Origin and the issue is still there, so you're right.

I'll attach the DxDiag below 🙂 I'll also take the downtime to update my nVidia Drivers in case that's causing some problems, and report back if it fixes it

I appreciate you taking the time to help me out here, very confusing problem indeed

Edit: Okay newest drivers and nothing has changed

I just realized that I've gotten a new keyboard since the last time I played, a super cheap Logitech K120 and I'm thinking the drivers might be the cause, but I can't find any new ones for it...

Edit: Just tested it with a spare Mac keyboard I had lying around and it fixes the issue. Since I can't get any driver updates for the Logitech one, I'll probably have to just grab a new one.
