    Code net,leaf, wheel
means you're having connectivity issues to EA servers.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to fix the issue on your side. You need to wait for EA to deploy a hotfix on their servers, which would solve the issue. Still, you may restart your computer/console and your router.. it may solve the issue...

According to EA support, code:net happens when your connection to Apex servers expired or when the server stopped responding to your requests. This is a server-side issue, not a client-side one.
According to EA support, code leaf happens when the server never answered us when we asked if it could connect. […] The vast majority of players reporting the error are getting code:leaf. This means the backend created a match, our servers successfully talked to one another, we sent users there, and the player never got an answer from that new server.
According to EA support, code wheel happens when the server never answered us when we asked if it could connect. […] The vast majority of players reporting the error are getting code:wheel. This means the backend created a match, our servers successfully talked to one another, we sent users there, and the player never got an answer from that new server.

Meanwhile it would be in your best interest to check your equipment used to connect to the internet. I've had a various amount of issues back in 2019 and the easiest way that my problem was resolved was to get rid of my ISP's Trash Router, and purchace my own that fit my plan. And i have not had issues since.

  • Still doesn't explain why it works on the PS4 and not on my PC.. that tells me there's nothing wrong with the router or internet. Either my PC is blocking something or something is up with the servers.

    Hi @buckhead09

    Thanks for following up!

Have you had the chance to try starting your PC in a Clean Boot to test and see if that helps? If there is something else running that could be related to the errors that might help to narrow it down.

For more details on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help website. Once you have the chance to give it a shot please let me know if you're still running into any errors. Thanks!

  • @EA_Kent Tried the clean boot. Didn't work. Yesterday though for whatever reason I got to have 5 games back to back with no errors. Today back to the errors. This is beyond frustrating. Please fix your game
  • Also you need some type of cancel button added when trying to load in. Takes a second if it works and about 2 mins if it doesnt and there's nothing you can do besides restarting the game

    @buckhead09

Thanks for giving it a shot.

There are a couple other things I'd like to try. First, have you tried setting a different DNS in Windows to see if that makes any difference?

You can set a different DNS through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. For more info on how to get there check out the Microsoft Support website. Choosing the Manual option will let you enter a DNS of your choosing. I usually go with the public Google DNS (Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8; Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4), but I've also heard from a few people who have mentioned the Cloudflare DNS resolver has helped (Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1).

If you're able to give that a shot please let me know how it goes.

  • So I have gotten a VPN and this seems to have solved the issue.

If it doesn't happen when you're running a VPN there might be an issue at one of the nodes in between your home network and the servers. It may be best to reach out to your ISP and see if they're aware of any issues.
