Same problem here was working fine 3 days ago.
Tried every possible fix available and to no avail.
Also crashes and will not allow me to end apex process
in task manager and stays in background processes/
Hope someone sorts this out soon
I just tried again and it's still freezing during dropship phase. It's the 3rd day now I can't play at all and radio silence from EA. This is a recurring issue and they should know by now what to do. Please, me and many other people can't play AT ALL since 3 days. It's an issue on your side and you have to fix it for us. We can't do * on our end except complain here

Has anybody found a fix for this as it is really becoming frustrating and annoying to say the least.

trust me i did all the ways but nothing fixed it,
I tried to low my GPU Mz to 1160 to CPU, reinstalling origin to SSD or harddrive and tried to low the settings down, but nothing worked
this issue has been there for 4 days now !!! unacceptable !I tried every possible fix possible re-installed; uninstalled; repaired game how may times and restarted PC more times
then I can remember because of the APEX crash and Programs not responding.
I guess because the game is free to play and not everyone has this problem it is not that important to sort it out.
I played since season 1 to 5 - no issues until like Wednesday or Thursday last week.
It is not fun to have no hope!!!

I even paid for the battlepass, so it's not just affecting "freeloaders"! It's even more frustrating because this is not the first time this issue happens, so they know exactly how to fix it for us but they are just silent, like WTF?!?
Yeah I'm on about day 5 of this as well, getting really old.

Some kind of a fix or any hope for some of us that are struggling to get a game that worked fine up until 5 days ago!
No changes to our PC's we experience this problem and we have to hard shutdown our PC's as it causes issues with other programs.
I have never experienced issues with steam games doing this.
This happened around 5 days ago - please how about a hotfix?

Ok problem fixed - simple actually update your bios to latest version.
Hope this helps everyone with the same problem.

What type of motherboard do you use? Also, which BIOS version number are you currently on after updating it?

@EA_Kent my MSI motherboard is up2date and I still have the issue.
Mainboard: MSI Z170-A PRO

I tried alot to fix it myself:
- Installed latest Windows update
- Installed latest NVIDIA update
- Installed older NVIDIA drivers to test
- Played around with in-game resolutions and video settings
- Disabled Origin and NVIDIA overlay
- Unequipped character/weapon skins
- Unequipped music packs/loading screen images
- Cleared startup parameters in game properties
- Updated essential I/O drivers
- Unloaded third party drivers
- Uninstalled/Repaired Apex
- Whitelisted Apex executable in Windows Defender (even tho it's obviously not a fix, but who knows lol)
- Checked firewall ruleset
- Checked if ports are forwarded on router side
It seems to be a serverside problem for some players. Hope this helps to find a solution.
My BIOS is also on the newest version and the game Stil freezes when getting into the dropship, this is been going for almost 6 days now.. I would like to play apex specialy since I paid for my battle pass and I want to continue leveling it.
Is your motherboard BIOS as follows:

Check your BIOS again.
What MOBO and CPU do you have?
The other thing I also did was Clean up my registry and move the game to another drive with Origin.
What did you use to clean up your registry?
Updating my BIOS didnt work
I am running an ASUS H-370F
Updated toe the latest bios version which is 1901
Still no luck...
It was fine a few days ago, and today this problem suddenly appeared.

I was searching processor errors and it suggested I update my BIOS.
It worked for me.

Seems like my problem is back again. Had one day of playing and the freezing starts again.
This is really a daunting task to try and repair this game.
Can the developers sort out a fix please.
