i played this morning, no problem. 3 hours later, the game can't be launched because it always says the game needs an update, it updates it then says it needs an update again. Windows restart, logging out, clearing cache, all don't work
This is the same exact issue other players, including myself have had with the Sims 4. We'll have to wait for EA/Respawn to fix it.

Thanks for the posts!
We're aware of an issue completing today's update through the EA app, and are currently working to get that fixed up.
It may be worth a cache clear before trying the update again, however if this doesn't do the trick we're on it! Thanks for the patience while we're taking a look.
All the solutions, including clear cache using App Recovery - doesn't help

also tryed all the solutions i can found in the forum, nothing fixed the problem...
Tried clearing cache, running as admin, reinstalling etc. Am I safe to say that this is an issue on EA's app and not my computer?

I guess we have to wait for EA since nothing worked, neither by reinstalling Apex, reinstalling the EA app, running everything as admin, clearing EA app cache...

But Respawn + EA are pure magic, so the issue is back here in October, and it's even worse, since players aren't able to solve in any damn way!
:DEdit: other than migrating to Steam client, of course... XD
I have 2 desktop folders when I re install. Program files/electronic arts/EA Desktop/EADesktop/all files are in here.
I just migrated to steam and lose 2000 hours but ill stay here

This has been a problem actually for a good amount of people even happened to me in the last update reinstalling the game, finalizing installation, and then closing EA and Re-opening EA seemed to do the trick the last time so I guess ill be giving it a shot again. EA honestly you make so much money off your consumers but can't even give them a functional update now heading on for x2 and was an issue in May. You will lost more and more people as time goes on and people have gotten a distasteful sense of your company this is shady and we want to utilize the service we give you we work HARD FOR SO PLEASE fix your *. Thank you and much love.

logged out and in with password reset
turned off firewall
updated every possible driver on pc restarted several times no joy

Yeah... pretty much nothing worked... Also did all this stuff, just lost 2 hours by Google! I even tried to fix/reinstall Easy anti-cheat.. ☹️ Please EA fix this problem, what can be so hard ☹️
Not being able to update Apex on your own in house client is pathetic and really demonstrates how dumb they are. How incompetent can you people possibly be to allow this to continue? Fix your steaming pile of a client

Hi i have the same problem with the update and reinstall the game or clear the cache is not working
