Re: microphone input volume too quiet

Hey @FatSouls6131

This is actually an issue we've been tracking for a while. The Apex Legends team is working on getting it fixed, but I'm afraid we don't currently have a time frame on when it might be resolved. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon.

Thank you for your patience while it's under investigation.

  • @EA_Kent Does this include overall voice chat changes?

    I have to play with most volumes down to 6%(master at 100%) and my headset cranked just to hear my buddy on his PS4 (I'm on XSS)

    If you can pump your mic volume externally you are fine, but cheaper headsets that don't allow that, you're in trouble.

    Having a separate audio channel for voice is a huge first step, but a microphone slider would help too

    @Almatucadros

    I don't have any details on if this will include any other changes to voice chat, I'm afraid. I do appreciate the feedback, though. I can pass it along to the team.

    @EA_Kent Hey I appreciate you looking into this. Just wanted to share that this is a big problem to my friends and I as well i can barely make my mic above a whisper when using in game chat.

  • Yeah I have nearly 2000 hours in Apex Legends now, and just about the whole time I have been unhearable to team that's not in my discord. Like...I haven't even bothered talking to a team mate for over a year.
