Re: Microsoft visual c++ runtime library

I do indeed have the latest version of Visual C++ installed.

I updated them after the error, but it doesn't seem to have fixed anything

Gotcha @Jaegersquad, thanks for confirming you were able to give that a try.

Just to be sure, I'm guessing you've already had a chance to try just repairing your game installation as well, right?

Beyond that you could also try these additional troubleshooting steps. If that continues to happen we could also take a look at your DxDiag to see if anything else stands out that could be causing this to pop up.

    Thanks @Jaegersquad.

Looks like there's a newer version of your GPU drivers available, are you able to check that you've updated those as well as checking your peripherals?

It may be worth unplugging your other peripherals to see if the game launches without anything other than keyboard/mouse plugged in, and from there see if there are any updates for those available.

  • I have now updated my GPU drivers and started the game with only my mouse and keyboard. However the error is still there, and I still can't get past the loading screen.

At this point I ran out of knowing what to do.

  • @EzyHawk I had already completely uninstalled and reinstalled every Microsoft VS C++ I had. But it doesn't seem to have fixed the issue.

However I did notice something in the installer log giving me an error with a VC++, so I added a screenshot of it

@EA_Mako Do you perhaps have any idea on what I can still do to fix the issue?

I don't really know what the error message in the screenshot of the installer log is.
