Re: My character in apex keeps looking up to the sky randomly

Hey @Frostence,

Thanks for the post! Typically when we see camera control being taken over like this, that's due to another peripheral or an overlay conflicting with your input.

Can you check to see whether you have any other peripherals plugged in, whether that's a controller, joystick, charging station, etc.? If so, try unplugging everything other than your mouse + keyboard and see if that continues to happen.

Similarly, I would check for any programs that include an overlay, such as the Discord overlay, Xbox Game Bar in Windows, or even the Origin In-Game option. Disabling the overlay portions may help out as well.

While this sounds to be a fairly rare occurrence, do let us know if there's any change once you've had some time to play around with that, thanks!

  • Hey! Thanks for the quick reply, however the only things I have plugged into my PC is my keyboard mouse and headset. I don't use any other prefilials like a controller etc, and the only overlay i have on is for NVIDEA to make the game easier to see at and it happens even when that's off sometimes so that probably isn't it, other than that I don't have any other overlays on for Apex at all.

    @Frostence Gotcha!

    In that case depending on your particular keyboard and mouse, I'd also check that any software they use is up to date. Depending on the manufacturer that could be programs like Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub, etc.

    The other big thing to check would be any programs that may be drawing focus from Apex. This can be a bit tricky if the issue isn't happening extremely regularly, but this would involve a clean boot of your system to temporarily disable other background programs or processes that may be interfering.

    That's likely not something you can continue for a week straight, but may be worth trying for a play session to see if this continues happening during that time.

  • @EA_Mako Thanks again for the reply! As I said it only happens once every so often not often enough for the clean boot to be logical lol I will double check to make sure my software for Logitech and razer is up to date, however pretty sure that is too.

    Also I did originally say that this never happens on ANY other game I play on my computer, and ONLY happens on apex. I've had others who has also experienced this before when I ask them if they have had that happen or if it was just me and they said yes they had.

    I think that its a apex issue and not anything regarding outside of that since this issue doesn't happen outside of apex and never happened until after season 11 launched for apex as well
