Unable to connect to EA servers, I've tried just about everything

whenever I open Apex Legends, I'm unable to connect to EA servers. I've tried reinstalling the game, restarting my router, changing my DNS servers, allowing the game through my firewall, running as administrator, flushing dns and releasing IP, restarting my computer. All of the advice anyone has posted online about this issue I have tried and it has failed. 

I also have what I believe to be a related issue with Counter Strike 2, where I can't connect to the game servers in that game as well. I think it may have something to do with the fact that they both use the source engine, but games like team fortress work just fine.
