Re: SEA Servers seem to be struggling

@EA_IlliumHi, Im on Steam on PC. Those issues seem to have disappeared for the most part but since yesterday im getting a ping of 500 to singapore servers every 3 games or so. Sometimes twice in a row even though my ping to the data centre is 80. Just played 2 games with the normal ping now then it went back to 550ms in the next 2 games. I switched to HK servers to check and it worked for a bit then again 500. Not sure whats up.

Edit: This only started happening with Season 7. Ive been playing on Origin for the past few months and this hasn't happened once.

Edit 2: Ive had a look at the server list and it looks like there are 2 Singapore servers that have a ping of 500+ for some reason. I guess thats where the game is sending me. Like i said switching to HK made no difference. Looks like im gonna have to play in EU with a ping of 250 until this is resolved?!

Hey @TheRealestPepito We can try going through the steps below to see if this helps us with the high ping times.

    • Check for Windows and GPU updates
    • Port Forward
    • Flush DNS (first section in the link)
    • Untick the options in LAN Settings (make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server)
    • Close Origin completely by right-clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary:8.8.8.8, secondary:8.8.4.4, unless there is different DNs you would rather use)
    • Repair - Origin Verify - Steam
    • Allowing Origin/Steam and Apex through your anti-virus or firewall
