Re: Season 10 100% CPU bug
I really wanted to try getting some of the skins, but missed out completely because of this.
I just don't understand what they did to cause this bug in the first place.

Japanese players are quitting the game in mass because of this bug.

Hi, everyone. The best I can advise for now is to try the possible solutions I mentioned in my previous post while we continue to investigate this. Hopefully, we'll have this resolved soon.

EA/Respawn have had this coming a while now & unfortunately they reap what they sow now with their complete inability to fix problematic issues that have been in the game a while now. With players also quitting MW in droves over the failure to deal with mass cheating in the game EA/Respawn have completely missed the trick in capitalizing from MW's losses by trying to attract those former players.I've tried several times over the course of the day to log into the game & the data center ping on all regions were all over 150ms.Just for fun I went to play a game of BR Trios where I was matched on my own but there were only 40 players signed in at the start of play.If it wasn't for the luck of a Pred team killing me off early then the poor servers would have done the job instead.What a complete shambles the start of season 10 appears to be (much like the start of season 9).
Empty promises,apologies & continued investigations just doesn't cut the mustard anymore.My advice would be to delete the game & use the 65GB memory on another game more worthy of you're time instead of waiting around hoping for fixes/changes that will probably never happen
you can do whatever you do.
but like me and many others wants Apex for one simple reaason. Is the best FPS
iam keep playing like this, waiting for a patch.
Some time ago was a code weel...some time ago was easy anticheat bug but they fixit
now we have problems but they will do the fix soon.

i have the same problem, for some minutes CPU goes high. And everytime i open game i need to download and compile shaders...

so sad, before genesis was all perfect- @xiopiyeotl woooow you got this gorgeous pc and still get the problem? holly my poor i5 and gtx 1060 is crying here while i'm typing this ahahahahahaha
- @Solid_EXC Considering Apex has had the same problematic server & CPU issues for a few seasons now & now matter how many patches they released in season 9 to rectify the issues nothing was fixed in reality.I wish I could share your optimism hoping for some kind of 'fix' soon (however long soon is) but in truth I don't.& tbh we've had the same empty promises before.
@EL-Lucky_Loco its not about PC parameters, i have all time stable FPS even in dropship but my CPU is going crazy, before update was fine

@EA_Aljo So this solved my issue:
"I found this on Steam discussion and this guy said that it fixed the high CPU usage also stuttering, lagging, disconnecting for him. Haven't tried it myself but I'm just gonna leave it here:
First, in the game folder, I deleted the "EasyAntiCheat" folder and the "EasyAntiCheat_launcher" application.
Then I went to the game and used "Verify integrity of game files". The game reinstalled the EasyAntiCheat folder and application. Now the game runs fine again and my CPU isn't go up to 100%."After 1 month of the release of the Genesis update, I tried everything as stated and suggested before, from BIOS update to chipset drivers, windows defender, power management, everything I could find and nothing solved it. I must say that updating everything may have played out an important part for this fix to work but this one was the real deal. Thanks to everyone and let's hope it stays as it should be.
@ildeserto i tested it 5min ago with origin and not working, with origin is option repair and it makes the same, but no changes CPU goes crazy. And i see when CPU is high in lobby and i want to close my game its stucked for the time till CPU is high

i have problem with shaders ( fix from post dont work ) and i have problem with High CPU usage on rly strong pc. Before genesis was all perfect capped 190fps- EA_Aljo
The only potential fix I know of for the shaders issue is the one I mentioned. If any others come up, I'll update this thread. As far as the 100% CPU usage goes, if you already tried the first 2 suggestions I mentioned, possibly this will help. That's all I know of at the moment so if that doesn't fix it for you, most likely you'll have to wait until we release an update that resolves it.
@EA_Aljo trust me im waiting from genesis update, everyday im spending time on trying to find fix for that...
its so sad that i spent on that game 1200+ usd and atm cant play like month+

Task Manager -> Detail -> r5apex (must run Apex) -> Set affinity -> check 4 or less processor

I set 144, gpu use 50% when play apex - @Fioraaaaaa did not work for me... any other fix?
