I did read it, I thought it meant my progress on the current EA account will be gone but it would be there on the new EA account it's been linked to. This issue is going to happen to a lot of people because it's not exactly clear and the apex cross progression blog post said accounts need to be on the same EA account to have cross progression unlocked. It didn't explicitly state that if they were not on the same EA account from the start then there is no way for cross prog to work for you.

Your accounts need to be on the same EA account. For example, if you have an PlayStation and PC account on the same EA account, those will be merged. You can't move an Xbox gamertag from a different EA account to a the EA account with the accounts you want to merge together. 

The documentation clearly states the accounts must be on the same EA account, as you mentioned. I'll pass on your feedback.

Yes, it clearly states that they need to be on the same EA account. That is going to make people thing "oh let me make sure both of my Apex profiles should be on the same EA account, let me move one over". Knowing that the post should have explicitly stated that if your Apex profiles are on two different EA accounts there is NO way possible to combine them and keep your progress. I've lost access and can't unlink until April... Not gonna lie im pretty devastated.

is there no other way of linking an account if i accedetally linked it with the wrong ea account?

You'll need to contact an advisor to see if they have any other ideas. A case can be opened here.

I'm currently having an issue with my account. I no longer have access to an OLD ea account and don't have access to the Email that was attached to it. I have been going back and forth with your chat team that say the same lines over and over. I recently have brought a game (NFS unbound) and would like to play online but it's been proven difficult due to the account issue I have access to the PSN account but do not wish to make a new one due to this unfortunate situation. Please help

You'll have to continue to work with support to regain access. As long as you can answer the account ownership verification questions, they can update the email on it. To get in touch with an advisor, please open a case here.

I'm sorry but did you not read what I just said. Because if you did then you would have not given me the same line that your other community manager would say too. I'm gonna say it again for you to read it this time. I CANT ACCESS THE ACCOUNT BECAUSE THE GMAIL WAS DELETED YEARS AGO AND GOOGLE DOES NOT RECOVER ACCOUNTS MORE THEN 6 MONTHS. now not only I can't access that now I can't even access the ea account. What I need is just to unlink the PSN account so I can link it to my new ea account so that I can enjoy my game that you guys locked.

No changes can be made to the account, including updating the email address, without passing account ownership verification with an advisor.

That's not from a script. It's what you need to do to get an account updated. Again, you don't need to have access to the account. You need to pass account ownership verification so the account can be updated with your current email.

Not only I can prove that you are saying the same lines over and over I can also Recite it do to the number of times you guys saying for everything without considering the person your " supposed" to help. And that's what you have to say? Just keep buying games so that we can't use them. What am i supposed to do now with a game i cant play online and cant return ? Best customer service -10/10.
